 The instruction and recipe booklet came with the waffle maker. Why didn't I think of that?! Anyways, I gave the recipe a try. The waffles came out... perfect! They were just the way we like them. There are 15 waffle recipes in the booklet, I'm going to have so much fun with them! 
In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and eggs; mix the batter until blended and smooth. Let batter rest 5 minutes before using.
