Today is Saturday, what do we feel like doing? It's Labor Day weekend, we woke up bright and early, and decided that we should go to to Little Tokyo because we haven't been there in a while. It takes about 30 minutes to get there, but it is so worth it! There are so many things to buy (door curtains, posters of Japanese culture, kimonos) and eat (sushi, ramen noodles, mochi/green tea ice cream and much more). Upon arriving at Little Tokyo, we parked at a meter in which we had to put silver coins (quarters, nickels and dimes). The price was $2.00/hour and what we did was put a grip load of silver coins to make it well worth our trip. Who knew that we put so much coins, but we only got 2 hours worth of parking. Welcome to Little Tokyo- Japanese Village Plaza Does this look familiar? It is Ginza... Beautiful paper lanterns hanging outside Japanese Village District Inside a Japanese gift shop that also sells paper lanterns This is a famous story about an animal (don't know what it is called in English, but in Chinese is 貍貓) these are non-edible sushi that was being displayed in front of a restaurant doesn't this look real, it is fake ramen!! fake bento box more Japanese foods ...and even more!! I came across this and decided to take a picture of it. What it is, it is: a BIG bowl of many items from salmon to rice. The price of this is $49.99 and get this... if you finish this within 15 minutes, you don't have to pay for it!! Eating green tea ice cream at the ice cream shop Mikawaya Mochi Ice Cream... we had the flavors of green tea and ice cream Lucky cats displayed in front of a clothing store |
