Just this past weekend, we made a little trip to Newport Beach. Haven't been there in a while yet it was still worth the trip. We arrived at Newport Beach at around 3:00pm in the afternoon. The weather was just perfect; not too hot and not too cold. We drove around to find a parking spot, we then came across one but was kind of expensive. It was $20 for several hours. It was not worth it because we knew that we weren't going to stay that long. A couple of minutes later, we came across the intersection of 28th Street and Newport Ave. We then circled to find a parking space and we found one. At that very moment, we knew we had to dispense coins in the meter. Little did I know, that meter accepted credit cards. We then strolled down Newport Ave and saw some cute beach-front houses like this...
(there are some that can be rented out)
(imagine sitting in front of this beach-front home...) 2 hours later, we were hungry and decided where we were going to go eat. We then came across this restaurant... ...we were thinking to ourselves, we came all the way to Newport Beach and wanted to eat seafood. (can you see what that little sign says on the left...yes... it says: World's Best Clam Chowder) (this is what they serve at every table before you actually have your meal...breadsticks and crackers!!) (doesn't that look good? the chef's using their own secret ingredients to make this)
(combination plate, which had: fish, shrimp, scallop all skewered together-shish kabob) (this is being displayed behind the glass) Eating at The Crab Cooker was so good because everything was freshly made. The flavor of the items that we ordered were just so mouth-watering; because they used their own special ingredients. Their clam chowder is not the usual white-cream based, instead it is the Manhattan style clam chowder. Manhattan style clam chowder is tomato-based clam chowder. If you go: don't let the price fool you, it is well worth it!!
