Don't worry, no need to call the cops! This is not a domestic violence case. Oh, my god, 1-7! How could this happen? She didn't even play basketball before. But she is super competitive, though. We played fair and square, only three rules were changed: 1. She coulf double dribble, but not carrying. 2. I couldn't turn my back on her, i.e. I always need to face her when I have the ball, not back in. 3. I could't move out of the paint. 7-1, I lost. No only lost, but badly. She shot 7 for 8 I shot like 1 for 16! Who said the better player could always win the game? Maybe she is a better player in that game. My only execuse? I swam with two kids earlier in the day while she was watching. Who to blame? My basketball coach! He told me the following: i). basketball was not all about scoring. I developed my rebounding, passing game and gave up me smooth/fancy moves, and became a solid catch-and-shoot mid-range jumper guy. And in 1-on-1, there is no one passing to me... ii). Also keep your(my) butt to face the basketball. Don't dribble when you face the basketball. Coach, no angle was working for me when I moved toward the basketball. Duhhhhh, my dear coach! BUUUUUUT, 7-1? Could you imagine? Give me some helps here, guys... P.S. Sorry, due to heavy work load in the office, with acquisition and annual sales kick off meeting, global AE training, business planning, I am pulling a 12-hours day. For those, I promised to write about the Red-Leaf story, Immigration, etc. Please be patient. :=) |
