這首在婚禮中很受歡迎的歌曲，
是智利音樂家Joaquín Prieto 在1958年寫的
西班牙語歌曲"La novia" ("The bride")，
Fred Jay把它翻譯成英語版，開始在英語國家內流行。
Julie Rogers在西班牙時對這首西班牙語歌就很喜歡
1964年，她在英國的歌壇開始出頭之時決定翻唱此曲
果然不負所望，在英國和美國的排行榜上都進入前十名。
之後，遂成為婚禮派對裡的指定曲。

Julie Rogers1943年出生在倫敦，
從小喜好音樂，學習鋼琴，
高中畢業後就到娛樂界打拼，
前後在西班牙當過舞者，在英國當秘書，
在郵輪上當過招待員，
後來得到機會與一個樂隊一起出演才開始出人頭地
1964年終於得到唱片合同，
她最有名的歌曲之一，即是這首歌。
