For Stock Trading.

In John Mauldins’ book “Bull's Eye Investing” he started with his introduction of his book:…
 “Every hunter knows that you don't shoot where the duck is, but where the duck is going to be. You've got to "lead the duck." If you aim where the duck is at the moment you shoot, you will miss your target (unless the duck is flying very slowly or is very close!).

In another words, the Trend Is Your Friend be it an individual stock or index stock. Make no mistake about it. When the trend of that stock is up it is time to buy it. When the trend is down; it is time to sell it. Of course there are other rules to follow.  If  you are interested in stock trading, I recommend you buy his book “Bull's Eye Investing”. I bought one for Jr.

For choosing College.

When you or your kids are studying in High school, your prime goal is to enter a good college. In addition to your personal interests in your life, what best can bring about a good job,which eventual will produce a better living, is all that you care. “Follow the trend” is my best advice.
When I was graduated from college, the knowledge I obtained from school could not provide me with a decent living for a normal family. The society and our country as whole needed people with English Proficiency to do the job of international trading and provide personnel to serve in the MAAG.  I decided to follow the trend to enter the English cramming school to strengthen my English.  At that time, the English Cramming School were booming and you can find everywhere in Taipei City. After graduation, I obtained job with pay check 5 times more than my classmate.
I passed on the same thinking to Jr. He chose CE department in Berkeley because it was hot department with graduates paid about 100,000 annually. After few year working, he wanted to move to  higher level. Again he choose “Follow the Trend” by entering FE department of Michigan to get MD in FE, the pioneer department in this field. I congratulated him not because he can earn better living than his old man; but he enjoys the job and learn the trick of real life .

For the Media
The trend is clear. It is time for Internet and TV network. The news paper as a whole is on its way out. The sales of News paper in the world will disappear sooner or later. You turn on the PC every thing is there. News commentary literature what ever you want is one click away. The book sales will be replaced by on line pay per click. If you like fiction and choose the writer and book title, all you have to do is to register to online publisher and click per viewing. Anyone who is good in computer engineering better prepare for the future job of online managing of designing web browser to take the challenge of 10 times fast speed modem in a live PC broadcasting of bloging.
There is a war between Live internet blogging and TV network programming. Thinking about the future with a mobile phone in your hand, you can walk and talk samuteniously in the world with your friend or relative so far away. It is very exciting. That dream can only be possible if the technology and engineer work together to make the world look so small.
Therefore, young man, hurry up and follow the trend.

(By the way, I do not mean to down play the existing writer. The celebrity status will fall in the  hand of personality at on-line and TV network anchor.)

For the Family.

When I reached the retirement, I was thinking that I can not allow myself falling behind the time. I have to catch up what Jr. has known and his field. I don't mean to have the exact knowledge what he obtained from his learning. At least I should be able to express myself on the common topic. Otherwise, I'd become dumb with nothing in reply. That was why I started picking up the English writing blog so that I can keep my brain working as well physical work in the field. That is the trend By the way, what is my score up to day from 01/01/06? Imporving.
