The mentality of 吃的死死 is ill and take it for granted.
I have had some unpleasant encounters happened in my life.
In 2003, we had only one house-keeper doing the motel cleaning job.
I helped Kathy some times doing her works. She was then manager's
old buddy. I fired the manager because of his dishonesty.
Well, because she was his friend and she was trying to get even with
me by pissing-me off guarded.
We in summer time had a full house on Saturday. I expected Kathy
coming to clean the room the next morning. Unexpectedly I got
call from Kathy saying: "I am not feeling well and not available for
a couple of days."" Well, I understand, go ahead and take care of
your self."Nothing can beat me in my life.
Since no one was available to help me at time in busy summer.
What I was going to do?
I called Mari home 400 miles from Motel and asked her to help
deal with this crisis. We cleaned the room in two days.
That Kathy thought that she could 吃的我死死 that we would be dead
trouble  if I did not beg her to work. Man, that is America's work ethic
and attitude. Even if the sky was falling there was a tall man to hold it.
She pissed me off and I never hired her again.

2nd instances.
I have been with Dish network for our TV program for years.
I hired the couple from Indiana who needed job. They were doing
all right with their works. In order to make them happy I gave one
of my Dish receiver for them to watch TV free of charges out of
good will.
American some time is cheap and cheating with the mentality of
"Get away with wrong doing. After all, I take advantage of him
and got nothing to loose." What they do not know that that may
end up their being put away toward the jail.
While using the free receiver Russel started calling Dish for PPV
with his own telephone and did not asked me in advance.
Dish network suspected that I re rented
the receiver to Russel and that was against their rules. As a result,
Dish network suspended my two other receiver in their
Black-list. I had to destroy two other receivers since both of them
were suspended and useless.
I did not spend time to explain the situation.
Dish network even went all the way to blocked some of the
program I have been entitled to enjoy.
That is the mentality of 吃的我死死."There is nothing you can do
about it. What a Mentality!
I ordered the Direct TV and decided to change the system.
I asked whether it is against law that I split the signal of my two
receivers to my guest room. Direct TV operator answered its not
against law. The guest are watching exactly what you are watching.
They do not have freedom to choose the channel they like. Beside,
the TV & video channel I provide to them are free services.
Dish network thought that they could control and blocked me
from view those channel I paid for. A monster company thought
they could get away with their muscle and 吃的我死死!
What a jock!
