This could be the 5th generation of my computers I have come up with.
Toshiba note book which I up grated 6/24/2008 can not be called
a great creation. The reason, being an end user, must be analysized
from the angel of daily usage point of view.
XP is very handy and I don't have any trouble in dealing with my
daily Internet surfing. After opening the browsing, I read the news
media from one to another having no too much trouble. However,
the down loading usually took more than few second if confronted
with heavy loaded picture and video. Besides when you opened
too many windows you would notice the machine tended slowed
down to a point that the note book were completely halt without
movement. I know the Sony FCG-FRV which I bought in 2003
was only loaded with 40 GB hard drive hardly enough to handle
the new generation of Information Super highway
like wireless phone DVD and now even HD DVD. As results,
I have to move up to next level with Intel Centrino equipped
with Core 2 Duo 2GB memory and 250 GB hard drive.
You open the new Toshiba the Internet browsing has been faster
and it only takes second to open the page to page and I did not
have to wait in front of monitor until the window appearing.
Particular true is when I surfed to China Time Blog it took
a couple of minutes to open the page because of the popularity
of CT. That was a great improvement in technology.
However, after I used the Easy transfer Cable for Window Vista,
I confronted with big trouble. The Vista was stuck-ed with old
file and data I transferred from XP software. I was using the
broadband DSL but the old dial window always popuped it up
without my order. I spent a couple of hours trying to solve the
problem. I almost came to the point of giving it up and wanted to
return the new computer to the Circuit City. I was mad as hell
that Microsoft engineer did not foresee the trouble with Vista.
After I cooled down, it came to me the second thought
"Why not delete the setup dial-up connection in the Internet
connection." I quickly went to control panel and did just that.
Bravo! it works fine after my removal of the dial-up
sti-connection.
I used to use the computer to edit my website
"yosemitemuirlodge.com" by means of applying Yahoo Sitebuilder
soft. However, while using Google in my website I accidentally
editing in Google Soft and I just could change back and or edit the
contents again while I have started using Yahoo Site builder. The
software of Vista was stuck and would not move. I have to
restart the computer to edit my site I could edit not anymore on
the page I modified in Googled window. Its dead page. I did not
have that trouble before when I used Window XP. Its a small wonder
that a lot people do not like use Vista and there does exist a certain
problem inside theTrojan of Vista.
