I have a wonderful husband, a great dog, and a sweet baby. My hubby Feiyu spoils me most of the time. He is patient, loving and funny. He makes me laugh all the time. Feiyu does a lot more house chores than the traditional Taiwanese husbands. But oh well, he lives in the US so what can he do but "Do in Rome as the Romans do"? Your typical American husbands do lot house chores! I guess this is because Americans typically have houses instead of apartments, and houses require a lot of work: garage, yards, repair and maintenance. Labor is expensive in the US, and the husbands have no choice but to DIY. The doggie Hsiao-B was spoiled before baby Ryan. We bought her toys and treats, gave her several walks a day, played with her a lot, and took her to the doggie park and doggie beach. But those good old days are gone after Ryan. For a while she barked whenever Ryan cried and it drove us insane. She just started to accept the fact that she's now the lowest on the totem pole. There’s no more barking and no more protesting. Good girl! Baby Ryan is an easy going infant. He is very healthy, good tempered, and weighs 19.25 pounds (8.8 kg) at six-month old! We try to rear him with methods recommended by the Bible Belt authors. So far the methods work pretty well and we hope it continues that way! |
