The day before yesterday there was a U18 hockey game held between China and Chinese Taipei at Taipei Arena .  After the 4-0 victory in favor of China team, a vehement fight broke out among players of both teams.  How did the fight happen, who ignited it?  It was hard to say because in ice hockey games, individual, "gentleman-styled" fight is allowed, and has become part of games, but not an all-team one.  Nonetheless, we can presume that the unwilling sentiment of Taipei's being defeated at home court might be the main reason for such a melee.

The subsequent interview on the mother of a China player after the game deeply impressed me.  She said the audience should think how to narrow the gap between Mainland and Taiwan in the fields of sports, culture, and economy, not just try to do the silly, irrational things like those happened that night: uttering invectives, throwing cups and bottles, giving guest players the finger, and so on. 

P.S. Despite loud boos against them and lopsided looting for their rival, China team defeated New Zealand 12-0 last night.  Dear islanders, your stupid acts will only make things worse, I am telling you.
