A woman politician of the Peoples Party, who came from the Chinese Mainland as a "Mainland bride" thirty years ago, was nominated as a legislator. The ruling party, DPP, repudiated the nomination, demanding that she relinquish her PRC ID first to demonstrate her loyalty to Taiwan. However, under either the constitution of the ROC or the PRC, such a requirement is absolutely a mission impossible. To show her loyalty to Taiwan, she claimed openly that she had never owned a PRC passport in her life, the only passport she has ever used is a ROC one. Then a DPP politician said she was lying because if she did not have a PRC passport, how could she enter Taiwan? What, are you nuts? Anyone from the Chinese Mainland must have a specific permit, not a PRC passport, to enter Taiwan, just as people of Taiwan must use a special pass to enter the Mainland. That DPP politician is the real liar.
DPP could use every possible means to fool its idiotic supporters.
