The PLA conducted maneuvers around Taiwan at the end of 2025 under the name of "Mission of Justice". This time, its battleships, aircraft, and drones pressing the island as close as they could. No foreign countries, including that Jap, said anything officially about the "incident", and the US President Trump just threw in casually that he is used to the PLA move because they had done it for twenty years. As for the islanders, everything seemed unchanged, and nothing could ruffle their composure. Daily lives were as usual; the stock market was still booming. People were totally indifferent to the latent danger, sensing no immediate or visible crisis at all.
Why were they so numb? They might think it is no big deal, for deep down in their hearts, there is a last resort for them: peaceful unification.
