Taiwan's Ministry of Defense declared yesterday that the island is no longer in need of that kind of fighters any because they're useless and unaffordable to Taiwan, and lamented Taiwan's safety will be relied upon the present but outdated fighters for another 20 years until it finally acquires more advanced ones like F-35. To hell with you, idiots, are you out of your mind? Even Taiwan owns most sophisticated weapons, such as fighters, missiles, submarines, it still isn't the match for Mainland China simply because it lacks manufacturing capabilities and a vast hinderland. Besides, it will be too stupid for Mainalnd to use any military means against his little brother unless Taiwan is seeking de jure independence. However, U.S. would only allow Taiwan to be an unpaid watching dog for him. De jure independence? No way. So what does Taiwan need those junks anyway? The best way for Taiwan to do is not to squander money on arms any longer, but use the money as a booster to its already stagnated economy as to add strength to its bargaining chips on the talking table lest Mainland should easily sufforcate it, economically. In fact, I don't mean to disparage the remarkable achievement of Nationalist's Air Force in the past, especially on the eve of 814 Air Force Day. But it is really high time we buried the hatchet between the strait. Remember, Mainland's fighters, as well as other weapons, are made to keep U.S. and Japan at bay, not to fight against Taiwan. |
