These days there were growing apprenhension in Taiwan that whether or not people can get COVID-19 vaccine inoculated in coming March as "that gentleman" promised earlier. But more and more evidences showed the vaccines are harder and harder to come by as scheduled. Except scrambling and hoarding by wealthy countries, the main difficulties for Taiwan to get the vaccines are due to stupid ideology. DPP administration rejects any vaccine made in, or having any connection with, Mainland China. That is why Taiwan is on the horns of a dilemma right now. I took it into my head to have a fancy idea. Will "that gentleman" declare some time in March that he backtracks his previous statement and lifts the ban on the product made in China, and quits the job as the "health minister" simultaneiously? Well, the similar case has happened once in "卡管" incident, remember? That "education minister" finally approved the assignment of Mr Guan as the principal of NTU and then resigned as the "minister" at the same time. Ha! |
