His fans in China Mainland and Taiwan cordially nickname him “Alphabets Kid”. Why is that?  Because his last name is too long to be pronounced either in English or in Mandarin.  Who is he, anyway?  He is Giannis Antetokounmpo, the active power forward of Milwaukee Bucks.  (Totally 13 alphabets comprise his last name; can you pronounce it correctly at first sight?)

Antetokounmpo was born in Athens, Greece, on December 6, 1994, the son of political/economic refugees from Nigeria.  (So that is why in America he is nicknamed as Greek Freak, though he had not been qualified to receive full citizenship of Greece until 2013 due to lack of birth certificate.)  At 6-11 he often plays like a point guard in Bucks, similar to another big guy, that 7-footer Jovic is doing in Dever Nuggets.  But he is much quicker, stronger than that fatty, paunchy Jovic.  You know, I like to watch nimble big guys playing, e.g. Hakeem Olajuwon, Yao Ming, Tim Ducan, Kevin Durant, now Antetokounmpo.

Right now NBA playoffs this season are fervently on.  As the key prop of Milwaukee Bucks, he already led the team to enter into Eastern finals and now was on top of Toranto Raptors 2-0.  Most likely you will see him lead Bucks to advance into finals( against Golden States Warriors).
