I admire some Serbian professional players, e.g. Djokovic in tennis and Jovic of Denver Nuggets with brilliant performance in recent NBA playoff, so I have a good impression on Serbia, a medium-sized country in Balkan Peninsula, Europe.
Serbia used to be the main part of former Yugoslavia, but after early 90s it split up into several countries to fight against one another and then induced military interference from NATO, actually US. In May 1999, a NATO missle hit the China embassy at Belgrade and claimed three young lives of Chinese officials. China bore the humiliation patiently, but got the awareness of her backwardness in military strength and started to catch up vigorously. (The incident acted as one of the milestones for China to modernize her weapons, the other one was the crisis of Taiwan Strait in 1996.) Let us look back at the history at:
