去年今日此門中，

Behind the gate on this very day of last year,

人面桃花相映紅。

peach blossoms were vying for beauty with a rosy face.

人面不知何處去，

Now the funny face has gone nowhere, anywhere;

桃花依舊笑春風。

yet the blossoms are still smiling in vernal breeze.
