Today I had a lunch with my two brothers and several friends at a time-honored restaurant in Dongmen district.  Accidentally, we found one of patrons in the table just next to ours was Ms. Hong Xiuzhu, ex chairwoman of KMT.  A friend of mine, who is a big fan of Hong, felt like to drink a toast to her.  He asked me what should he say in the toast.  I thought it over and replied to him that he may say, "I am sorry, Ms. Hong, the peace treaty of two Koreas is going to be signed this year as Moon/Kim proposed yeasterday, but people of Taiwan ruthlessly objected the similar proposal of yours made for both sides of the strait, even your KMT comrades.  What a shame it was." 

But eventually my friend failed to have the chance.  Before he knew it, Ms. Hong and her friends had proceeded to counter to check out.  Well, always rare is precious opportunity, either of a peace treaty for a long-divided nation, or of a toast to your idol.  Sometimes its now or never. 

P.S.  Ms. Hong, even only a year younger than I am, still looks slim, petite, and graceful.  What a strong little woman she has always been!
