When heard of the scandal of Wu, the brains of DPP, Wonky Cai prevaricated the questionings and just gave a comment slightly, "勿忘初衷".  But she didnt indicate what the "初衷" had been. 

By contrast, in the opening speech made in CCPs 19th national plenum, general secretary Xi reminded himself and all representatives of "不忘初心，方得始終".  What was CPPs 初心?  Builds up a new China, brings people a fairly prosperous and secure life, and pursues Chinas great revival.  Xi proclaimed with deep assurance that CPP will never forget its 初心.

By the way, a galaxy of distinguished translators gave Xis words a perfect rendering: Never forget why you started, and your mission can be accomplished.
