I read a report yesterday that a TV pundit boasted in a political talk show, saying China's Mainland dares not attack Taiwan because " before hitting a dog, you have to be scrupulous about the reaction from the owner(s) who stands behind the dog", meaning China won't take the action, for America and Japan will "certainly" interfere in the conflicts across the strait.  This is the very first time I've heard of such a simile, deigning Taiwan itself as a dog, and blatantly calling America and Japan as Taiwan's masters.

You may say when as being a legislator, Mr. Li Ao once had drawn an analogy between Taiwan and a dog.  But Mr. Li accused Taiwan of being so self-degraded as a watchdog for America and having to prepare dog food all by itself.  Quite different from that "pundit", apparently Mr. Li didn't want Taiwan to be like a dog. 

The name of that "pundit" sounds like "瘟神".  I guess China Mainlanders are more than happy to see there is such a low-IQ "god of plague" in Taiwan, and a lot of his followers with even lower IQ, for that kind of idiot, as well as many a TV pundit, will brings disaster to islanders and makes things much easier when Mainlanders decide to settle the scores with Taiwan.
