Former DPP chairman Xu Xinliang said the other day that China's Mainland should no longer harass Taiwan, a piece of "a beggar's turfs" that China lost when she was poor and weak just like a beggar 120 odds year ago. Xu said now China has already been an emerging powerhouse, why not she concentrate on her own delopment and just leave Taiwan alone. "Should a billionaire still care about a small turf of his own when he was down and out?", Xu asked. Mr. Xu, are you in your dotage now? Otherwise how could you use such a ridiculous simile to descrbe the relationship across the strait? Let me give you a salutary warning here: Don't you challenge China's national will, and never, ever say such stupid words in which I think you would not believe by yourself. All you should do now is to keep your mouth shut, and cherish your fame as being a forerunner of Taiwan's democratic movement.
