Subject Chinese idiom is now a common expression referring to the women of easy virtue. Actually, its original meaning was not what people have thought for years. Time was when in Era of Spring and Autumn, the Duke of Zheng was trying to kill one of his subjects who wasnt his blue-eyed boy any more. So on the sly the duke ordered the son-in-law of that disfavored subjects to collaborate the scheme. Being the wife to the conspirator as well as the daughter to an father who was unaware of the imminent danger, the perplexed wife and daughter then asked her mother for help, "Who is more intimate to me, my father or my husband?" Here came her mothers reply, "Any man can be your husband, but you have only one father. There is no need of a comparison between these two men." Therefore, a woman may be a "渣女", but can hardly behave as that of "人盡可夫", not even a whore.
