The Sandpipers 成名專集的主打歌是同名的 Guantanamera ，當時歌詞中的西班牙文發音炫惑了我，可能就是從那時起對西班牙文有好感，更對他們的輕快的恰恰（ Cha Cha Cha ）節拍有興趣，隨後接觸了 Santana 揺滾樂團，更是瘋狂的愛上了持續敲撃牛鈴（ cowbell ）配上輕快鼓聲的搖滾恰恰節拍，綽號「老狗」的好友曾教過我如何打這種鼓。

以前有位愛爾蘭美女同事，喜歡親暱的以西班牙文叫我的名字，覺得很好聽。一直想花時間去學西班牙文，到現在還是兩句 Hola，cómo estás （ Hi,  how are you? ）和 bien, gracias （ Fine, thank you ! ） 跑天下，發覺自己也蠻喜歡西班牙食物的，會不會上輩子…?

Guantanamera 最好聽的部份，在於男聲吟詩口白時，陪襯以女聲輕輕的背景歌聲，唱的非常的溫柔迷人。我是直到寫這篇文章，才終於收集到完整的歌詞，這次一定要至少能以西班牙文唱完全曲唬人。
