Throwing Punches - (not about traveling)

My blog finally has its true usage.

For me, to complain.

Today, I experienced something at work that I had never ever experienced in the past, whatever years.

Recently, I've being working with a tall sleek someone who considers himself a very smart ass.

I have been doing all the work so far, while he could claim the credits and act like my boss.

Telling me to do things that I already half-finished and told me "that" was my task to do.

Today, he requested me to sit next to him and do some "parallel programming."

I said, "what is parallel programming?"

He replied, "parallel programming is when two programmers sit together, the more experienced and knowledgeable one do the talking, and the less experienced, not know what to do one do the typing.  So, I talk, you type"

Grinding my teeth, face red and squeezing the words out of my moth, I replied  "In that case, really, you should be doing the typing."

He said, "Why, I am the more experienced one here and do you understand our database schema?"

I replied, "Why do you ASSUME that I don't understand?"

But I thought, we are not going anywhere with this kind of argument.

Just 5 more minutes sitting with this tall non-sense self important idiot, I probably gonna kick his nuts off.

And he definitely will kill me.

So, I complied and typed...... (weeping....   No one ever treated me like this.)

Soon enough, the PM was calling the smart ass to join the client meeting.  Sure enough, he probably gonna claim more credits from me.  (The PM appointed the smart ass to be the only person who can talk to the client.  He did that while I was gone for 2 days for a training.)

I wrote to the VP and said that I needed to talk to him.

I explained to him that I work for fairness and recognition.  And I want respect.

I don't claim other people's credits and I don't let others steal mine.

I am a team player, but this required me too much to bent.  And I don't want to create enemies.

To avoid conflicts, I should be switched to other projects.

Immediately, the VP switch me to another project, I am wishing myself good luck to the next chapter in the new place.

My conclusion - Some Texas males are truly arrogant ASS HOLES.
