Russia’s show of power in Arctic; Putin launches nuclear-powered submarine equipped with hypersonic missiles.俄羅斯總統（Vladimir Putin）20250227.日在（Murmansk）出席最新885M型（亞森-M級，又稱「白蠟樹-M」）核潛艦「彼爾姆號」的下水儀式。根據俄羅斯官方資料，「彼爾姆號」是俄羅斯北方造船廠建造的第5艘885M型潛艦，也是俄軍首艘正式搭載「鋯石」高超音速巡航導彈（北約代號：SS-N-33；3M22 Zircon）的多用途核潛艇。據悉，「彼爾姆」號預計於2026年開始執行戰鬥任務，進一步提升俄羅斯海軍的作戰能力。
普丁在下水儀式上強調，俄羅斯將持續加強海上武裝力量建設，特別是戰略核潛艇部隊，並加速各類水面艦艇與潛艇的生產規模。他表示，艦隊力量的提升將鞏固俄羅斯海疆與「北方海路」的安全，並確保國家在北極地區及全球大洋的利益。俄羅斯近年積極擴展北極航道影響力，視其為能源運輸與地緣戰略的關鍵領域，此次「彼爾姆」號的下水被視為這一政策的重要實踐。
「彼爾姆」號的特點在於其搭載的「鋯石」高超音速導彈，這款武器的飛行速度可達9馬赫（約每小時12,144公里），射程超過1,000公里，且具備極高的突防能力，被認為是俄軍應對現代海戰威脅的利器。專家分析，這款潛艇的服役將顯著提升俄羅斯在水下作戰與遠程精確打擊方面的優勢。

  20250327 - President Vladimir Putinon Thursday launched a nuclear-powered submarine equipped with hypersonic Zircon missiles capable of travelling at several times the speed of sound.
Russian news agencies, referring to a video link from the Arctic port of Murmansk, said Putin launched the vessel, named Perm after a city in the Urals, with the order: "I hereby authorise!"
.The Russian agencies, quoting documents associated with the launch, said the Perm is the first nuclear-powered submarine to be equipped with Zircon missiles as a standard feature..Zircon missiles have a range of 900 km (560 miles) and their speed renders them very difficult to defend against. The Perm is the sixth submarine in Russias Yasen and Yasen-M classes built by the Sevmash shipyard near Murmansk.
The Russian agency reports said the vessels construction specifications differed slightly from earlier models in the same class.
The agencies said that while in Murmansk, Putin visited a submarine named Arkhangelsk, also in the same class, and toured the Atomflot enterprise, which oversees Russias icebreaker projects.
the Russian Navy is preparing to enhance its underwater warfare capabilities with the addition of the Arkhangelsk, a multipurpose nuclear-powered submarine, slated for delivery in the summer of 2025. This submarine, part of the modernized Project 885M Yasen-M class, is being constructed by Sevmash, a division of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
 .The Yasen-class/Project 885 nuclear-powered attack submarines were developed as part of Russia’s strategic force modernization initiatives. Their design draws on lessons learned from Soviet-era vessels, such as the Akula and Alfa classes. With a displacement of 8,600 tons, these submarines are equipped with vertical launch systems compatible with Kalibr and Oniks anti-ship missiles. They also feature 10 533mm torpedo tubes.
.The Yasen-M variant incorporates improvements over the Severodvinsk, the first vessel in the class, including a hull length reduced by 9 meters. This modification was made to lower costs without compromising capabilities. Projections for the Yasen-M class submarines also include the ability to operate Zircon hypersonic missiles, a feature revealed in August by USC’s CEO.
