When Litchi Is Ripe Hsu ChiCheng

It is time for litchi to ripe
Under fondling of the golden sunshine
A grain after another grain of fruit
Drooping on branches
Bending the branches
Plumber and riper and heavier
The peel bright and sleek, reflecting red light
Like one after another red bulb
The whole orchard is permeating with fruit fragrance

Now bees and butterflies and cockchafers are drawn here
Encircling fruit trees
They exhibit their graceful flying postures
Humming to show their throat

At the sight
The fruit grower’s face as well as his mind full with smiles
They are satisfied
With their toil and moil throughout the year
The sweat is not spent in vain
There are fruits upon fruits

     荔枝成熟時    許其正

是荔枝成熟的時候了

在金色陽光的愛撫下

一顆顆果實

垂掛枝頭

垂彎樹枝

越來越飽滿越圓熟越沉重

果皮光滑，反射出紅光

有如一顆顆紅色燈泡

整個果園瀰漫著濃濃果香

這時蜂蝶和金龜子被引來了

牠們圍著果樹

展示飛翔的美姿

嗡嗡地秀出歌喉

看著這情景

果農滿臉滿心盈溢著笑

他們滿意於

整年的辛苦栽培

血汗沒有白費

已結成累累碩果
