I’m sorry, my teacher
I haven’t said that you look like a devil
Or that you were harelips, flat nose and small eyes
Yet I will just say you seem very ugly

I’m sorry, my teacher
I didn’t do it on purpose

In fact, your face is very beautiful
You are strong and in good health
And you are always neatly dressed
Yet I will still say you seem very ugly

If you show much loving care for your students
If much smile appears on your face
If you speak more soft and gently
I will say—you are very beautiful, my teacher
