SCIENCE
大家說英語20240411
This word space is a special word.
If a room is very big, we can say it has a lot of space.
but we’re talking about space in science.
Space is that place that is past the sky, past the clouds all the way out there where the moon and the planets and the stars are.

Space has stars, planets, moons and more!
The solar system is just one very little part of space.
The sun is an enormous star at the center of it.
There are eight planets in the solar system, including Earth, Mars and Jupiter.
All the planets orbit the sun.
It takes the Earth about one year to go around the sun, but it takes Jupiter 12 years!
There are also many moons(行星的)衛星 in the solar system.
The Earth has one. It is the brightest thing in the night sky.
Mars has two moons, and Jupiter has about 90!

space在这里指太空
planet就是行星
include就是包括
bright就是明亮的
sky就是天空

Did you like the article about space, Sara?
I did. I learned about stars, planets, moons and more.
The part about the solar system was interesting, too.
Yes. It’s just one little part of space.
But it still very big!
It sure is!
It includes Earth, Mars, Jupiter and five other planets.
All of them are really far from one another.
Of course the sun is at the center of the solar system.
It’s enormous---1.4(one point four) million kilometers wide!
It takes Earth about a year to orbit it.
It takes Jupiter 12 years!
There are many moons in the solar system, too.
Earth only has one.
Jupiter has about 90!
But Earth’s moon is the brightest thing in the night sky.
It’s beautiful.

Space is that place where the stars and the planets and the moons are.
A planet is a very very large body.
Earth is a planet.
And planets travel around the sun.
A solar system is just a group of planets that travel around the sun.

let’s talk about this word include.
If you buy a male?, you might ask does this include tax? do I have to pay extra money?
Even though I already paid for it.
I am orbiting you, you are traveling around me in a circle.
If something is in the center of it means it’s in the middle of.

Yes. Look! This is a hippo.
It’s enormous.
This is a whale.
