布里斯（Breathe）是１９８０年代英國新浪漫電子流行風潮下的一個著名團體

他們的樂風與同儕Waterfront , Johnny Hates Jazz相近

都是以流行為基調　融合Smooth Jazz ，Pop-Rock，Blue-Eye Soul

１９８４年　6名童年好友在高中組成團體〔Catch ２２〕

畢業後幾名團員退出　剩餘團員便成為後來的布里斯（Breathe）

１９８４年　他們開始灌錄試唱帶寄給唱片公司

終於跟A&M公司簽約

１９８６年　布里斯發行首支單曲〔Don’t Tell Me Lies〕　但不成功（UK＃７７）

接來的時間便致力準備第一張專輯

１９８８年４月　布里斯推出首張大碟〔All That Jazz〕

第二主打是〔Hands To Heaven／通天手〕

這是首節奏緩慢　編曲華麗　合音諧和的抒情佳作

配上薩克司風塑造出出的Smooth Jazz浪漫風情

讓整首歌曲流露出濃郁的纏綿悱惻氛圍
在主唱渾厚的白人靈魂唱腔的深情演繹下

果真將〔Hands To Heaven／通天手〕送上天堂

拿下英國單曲榜＃４　美國單曲榜亞軍（成人抒情榜亦是亞軍）
剛看到這首歌名　覺得它的中譯還有點奇怪：〔通天手〕
心想這是什麼怪東西呢？
直到９０年代接觸聽到此曲　才發現是首動聽的情歌佳作

雖然布里斯的成名時間雖短　倒是製造出數首名曲
