最先由五名姊妹組成.，後來縮成四位．

１９７２年，以歌唱諾蘭（The Singing Nolans）之名推出首張大碟．

１９７５年推出第二張大碟［Making Waves／掀起波瀾］，改名‘諾蘭姐妹’．

１９７８年，諾蘭姐妹以翻唱專輯 ［20 Giant Hits］，登上英國專輯榜＃３　

取得金唱片（１０萬張＋），成為其事業突破點．

１９８０年發行［Nolan Sisters］又改成‘諾蘭家族’（The Nolans）

１９８０年１０月，諾蘭家族, 推出［Making Waves／掀起波瀾］大碟（Epic唱片）

由Ben Findon，Nicky Graham製作

大碟登上英國專輯榜＃１１　取得金唱片（１０萬張＋）

澳洲＃１０　雙白金（１４萬張＋）

瑞典亞軍　紐西蘭冠軍

不過她們最大市場是日本，登上公信榜冠軍　銷售５６萬張＋
