１９５９年出生的席娜伊斯頓（Sheena Easton）是英國蘇格蘭著名歌手

這位嬌小的紅髮美女原名Sheena Shirley Orr

自小就喜歡音樂

在看完芭芭拉史翠珊（Barbra  Streisand）的愛情文藝經典〔The Way We Were／往日情懷〕後

決定成為歌手

１９７５年起在格拉斯哥的皇家蘇格蘭音樂戲劇學院就讀

１９７９年與Sandi Easton結婚　婚姻只維持八個月

但席娜決定保留夫性　後來成為其藝名

這一年　席娜獲選英國BBC紀錄節目〔The Big Time／大時代〕的主角

製作人打算以此記錄一名無名歌手成為流行明星的過程

EMI與伊斯頓簽下唱片合約

〔The Big Time〕的團隊便跟在席娜身邊　記錄她灌錄首支單曲〔Modern Girl／摩登女孩〕的經過

１９８０年２月　Christopher Neil製作的〔Modern Girl〕推出　但不成功　只拿到英國單曲榜＃５６

這讓席娜對自己的歌手前途充滿不確定感

５月時　伊斯頓發行第二首單曲〔９ to ５〕

這首電子流行歌曲節奏輕快　旋律琅琅上口

果然大受歡迎　登上英國榜＃３　終於讓她揚眉吐氣

此時〔Modern Girl〕再度發行　結果也打進前十名（＃８）

讓席娜成為英國榜史上第一位同時有兩首歌曲名列Top１０的女藝人

這也確定她在樂壇的前途

〔９ to ５〕後來收錄在１９８１年１月發行的首張金唱片專輯〔Take My Time〕中

１９８１年初　席娜進軍美國

由於當時鄉村天后桃莉芭頓（Dolly Parton）為主演電影〔Nine to Five〕演唱同名主題曲　正當大紅

EMI便將〔９ to ５〕改名為〔Mornight Train（9 to 5）／早班車（朝九晚五）〕

結果更受歡迎　登上美國告示單曲榜冠軍（＆成人抒情榜冠軍）　拿到百萬金唱片

隔年獲得葛萊美最佳新人肯定

〔Take My Time〕在美國發行時改名〔Sheena Easton〕 也拿到金唱片

〔Mornight Train（9 to 5）〕在其它地區也有出色表現

加拿大／澳洲／紐西蘭冠軍　愛爾蘭亞軍　瑞士＃３　比利時＃４　荷蘭＃１４　日本＃１７（95k 不包括進口版）

讓席娜一舉成為國際明星

伊斯頓亞洲特別受到歡迎　

同名大碟登上日本專輯榜＃４　銷售頗佳（賣了３０萬張　不含進口版）

１９８１年－８５年張大碟打入Oricon榜Top１０

一度取代奧莉薇亞紐頓強（Olivia Newton-John）成為東瀛最受歡迎國際女歌手
