１９９３年２月　蕾芭推出第二主打［The Heart Won’t Lie］

這是著名歌手／詞曲家金康妮絲（Kim Carnes）與Donna Terry Weiss譜寫的作品　旋律感人

蕾芭原本想跟歌王肯尼羅吉斯（Kenny Rogers）合唱, 但兩人音質／音域差異頗大, 結果不理想

Tony Brown建議找另一鄉村樂紅星文生吉爾（Vince Gill）合音, 效果意外好

所以增加他的部份, 讓這首鄉村抒情曲變成合唱

［The Heart Won’t Lie］登上美國鄉村榜后座　成為蕾芭第１７首冠軍

另外也登上加拿大鄉村榜冠軍

這是麥肯泰事業的第一首男女對唱代表作。
