１９９３年秋天　３５歲半的美國拉丁裔天后葛洛莉雅伊斯特芬（Gloria Estefan）推出首張個人西班牙語專輯〔Mi Tierra／我的家鄉〕

自１９８３年邁阿密之音（Miami Sound machine）時期的［A Toda Máquina］後, 她便沒再灌錄全拉丁語大碟

身為古巴的西班牙後裔, 家族成員有不少從事音樂事業, 她跟邁阿密之音在英語專輯時期前也在地方的拉丁俱樂部表演

另外葛洛莉雅也希望她的兒子認同自己的古巴血統（丈夫Emilio Estefan, Jr也是古巴出生的西班牙後裔）

〔Mi Tierra〕由Emilio Estefan與邁阿密之音的團員Jorge Casas , Clay Ostwald製作

包含西班牙與古巴的拉丁樂風：包括boleros, danzan, son, tropico等

推出後廣受樂評讚賞

同名歌曲為首波主打

由葛洛莉雅與哥倫比亞音樂人Estéfano共同譜寫

內容是頌揚家鄉古巴
