身兼創作／歌唱／製作／樂手等多項才能

１９７３年踏進樂壇　與Prestige唱片簽約　１９７４年起發行三張爵士專輯　建立起聲名

１９７８年跳槽至Elektra唱片, 轉型成偏向流行味的R&B／Funk歌手──雖然歌曲仍帶有不少爵士元素, 也成功在主流R&B市場搏得一席之地

１９８２年春天　盧森發行第七張大碟［Straight from The Heart］

由她跟Charles Mims Jr共同製作

首支主打為［Forget Me Nots／勿忘草］

作者為派翠絲, Freddie Washington, Terri McFaddin, 盧森個人製作

這是首中板的放克／後迪斯可舞曲　旋律討好 　bass line特別容易辯認
