１９９２年１月底　蕾芭推出第二單曲［Is There Life Out There］

此曲由Susan Longacre, Rick Giles譜寫

麥肯泰爾與Tony Brown將其製作成一首新傳統鄉村-流行曲

在中板的節奏間, 蕾芭娓娓道出除了一成不變的日子, 還有不一樣的人生嗎？

［Is There Life Out There］推出廣受歡迎　成為她第十六首登上美國鄉村榜冠軍的歌曲, １９９２年終排名並高達＃３

另外也拿下加拿大鄉村榜冠軍（年終＃７）

１９９４年　蕾芭在CBS主演一部電視電影［Is There Life Out There？］　便以這首歌的敘事為題材

麥肯泰爾拍攝一支敘事MV　描述一名餐館女侍在工作之餘,努力上夜校以求得大學文憑

男主角邀來搖滾巨星Huey Lewis擔任丈夫角色

這也是最早加入大量對話的鄉村MV之一

不過蕾芭與MCA唱片卻接到CMT電視台抱怨‘她在音樂放了超前的主旨訊息’, MV幾乎被其禁播

不過這支MV仍拿到１９９２年鄉村樂學院獎年度錄影帶
