由於第三張專輯［Catch As Catch Can］在英國市場大敗（專輯榜＃９０）, 也無法把她塑造成美國樂壇明星

英國歌壇紅星金．懷德（Kim Wilde）與擔任其經紀人的歌手父親馬提懷德（Marty Wilde）決定結束跟RAK唱片合約, 跳槽到跨國企業MCA公司

１９８４年１１月　將滿２４歲的金推出第四張大碟［Teases＆Dares／嘲弄與膽量］

除仍由弟弟瑞奇懷德（Ricky Wilde）擔任製作人, 馬提懷德這回也協助兒子

另外金不但首次在個人大碟參與兩首歌曲創作, 也初回掛名共同製作人

［Teases＆Dares］的曲風也跳脫前三張的新浪潮／合成流行, 轉向更光潤的電子Hi-NRG迪斯可

首支主打為［The Second Time／第二次］

由瑞奇懷德＆馬提懷德合寫, 前者製作

是首Hi-NRG／電子合成舞曲

節拍輕快重複, 合聲豐厚層疊

此曲登上英國榜＃２９　成績差強人意

歐陸則表現不錯：這是她第五首德國Top１０熱門曲（＃９）

瑞士＃７　丹麥＃９　比利時＃１５　荷蘭＃２３

［The Second Time］在美國以［Go For It］發行, 成為金二度打入Billboard單曲榜的歌曲──＃６５（＋舞曲榜＃３１）

這也讓［Teases＆Dares］成為懷德第二張打入美國專輯榜的大碟（＃８４）

MV中, 金化身為類似科幻［Barbarella／太空英雌］女主角珍方達（Jane Fonda）造型, 與一群科幻人物對打

雖然這只是針對單曲［The Second Time］, 但MCA公司卻不顧金反對,把這當成專輯封面

強調其性感形象

懷德後來說這是專輯銷售不理想的原因之一（英國榜＃６６, 歐陸反應也普通）

因為這讓她的基礎歌感到困惑, 因為他們仍把她當成前三張大碟般的‘鄰家女孩’
