這是一首令人不由得想跟著旋律搖擺、哼唱的歌。詞曲作者是slide guitar彈得一級棒的美國女歌手Bonnie Raitt。台灣歌迷可能最熟悉她另一首哀怨的抒情歌曲--
"I can't make you love me"，George Michael翻唱過。

但這首"Nick of time"及同名專輯可謂奠定她復出基礎的重要作品。在此之前，Bonnie酗酒、唱片公司不續約、演唱事業跌到谷底。但這張專輯讓她一舉勇奪多項葛萊美獎，成為美國流行樂界東山再起的另一名傳奇人物。
