“逆行者”（heroes in harm’s way）

The term refers to the people who were showing great courage during the fights against COVID-19, especially when the pandemic first broke out in Wuhan.  They came from all over the country and hastened to the anti-virus front without any hesitation.  They comprised of PLA soldiers, paramedics, policemen, fire fighters, construction worker, and so many helpers from different fields, who had vied with time, fought with lethal virus, voluntarily.   

“躺平”（lie flat）

The verb is used to describe some young people who give up struggle, lack ambition, shun competition, lead a life of low desires, or even have no intention to work and prefer to be boomerang kids to live off their parents.  Those who lie flat are usually born to a wealthy family which enables them to "lie" down; some of them may think the country is providing them basic Medicare, unemployment insurance, and senior pension for a minimum standard of living as not having a stimulus for a better life anymore. 

“凡爾赛”（Versailles）

Obviously, the term derives from the magnificent palace in Paris, and now it has had a broad connotation for the kind of ostentatious "noble spirit " that some people speak in a deliberate way to boast of their delicacy and grace in order to make themselves different from others.  Such a phenomenon of Versailles often invites envy and hatred from other netizens in social media.
