“情人眼里出西施”是一句中文谚语，“西施”是中国古代四大美人之一（one of the four legendary beauties of ancient China），这句话常用来比喻由于存在感情，不论对方外表如何，都会觉得对方是完美的，看不到对方的缺点，可以翻译为beauty is in the eye of the beholder 或 love is blind。

例句：

shǐ dì wén sì hū rèn wéi tā de qī zǐ hěn měi。zhè jiù jiào zuò qíng rén yǎn lǐ chū xī shī ma 史蒂文似乎认为他的妻子很美。这就叫做情人眼里出西施嘛。Steven seems to think his wife is beautiful. It all goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

qíng rén yǎn lǐ chū xī shī。huàn jù huà shuō，dāng nǐ ài zhe mǒu rén，nǐ kě néng huì kàn bù dào zhè gè rén de rèn hé quē diǎn 情人眼里出西施。换句话说，当你爱着某人，你可能会看不到这个人的任何缺点。Love is blind. In other words, when you are in love with someone, you may refuse to see anything bad about that person.
