No sooner had Professor Qiu Yi originally appeared in KMTs short list for the legislators categorized on non-constituency basis in coming 2020, than he received objection and vitriol from all over the place: media and particularly a lot of his comades in KMT.  Why?  Just because Prof. Qiu is an unionist,  always espousing final reunification between both side of the strait.  According to report, Prof. Qiu has declined the offer as a nominee of legislator for KMT. 

Dear islanders, dont you know CCP politiboro has cared less and less about the outcome of Taiwan election?  Dont you know about 90% of Mainland netizens having recourse to Wutong as the only means on the issue of final settlement between the strait?  Do you really think Taiwan can defend itself and its American dad will come to rescue the island when Wutong takes place?  Therefore, the more people like Prof. Qiu representing public opinion here in Taiwn, the more security of the island will be assured.  Think of it, you stupid!
