美國笑匠 kevin Nealon 的書《I Exaggerate - My brushes with fame》裡有這一段:

我上網查一下得知那是 2010年的事, Lady Gaga 穿生牛肉串起來的禮服參加頒獎典禮, 會後宣稱 the dress was a statement about ones need to fight for what one believes in... 

當年應該是娛樂界一大新聞, 大概因為我不太注意流行歌曲錄影片的動向所以毫無印象. 那件禮服是否幫她傳達了訊息? 不得而知. 我覺得有趣的是 Nealon 的評語, 本文開頭引用的文字裡他嘲諷 designed by Omaha Steaks? 接下去說 a gown that could feed a small village... I was hopeful that she donated it to a charity, that they fried it up for the needy.

我繼續研究後發現 The New York Times 記者 Brooks Barnes 認為禮服的設計靈感衍生自畫家 Mark Ryden 2009 年的作品《Incarnation》, Lady Gaga 沒有回應, 不過從我附在下面的對照看來 Barnes 所說極有可能, 還有人說 Ryden 對 Lady Gaga 沒有昭告世人他的畫啟發禮服的設計頗為不滿.
