I went to the White House this morning. Actually, I had no idea about it until I saw a lot of people crowded in front of the gate through the Lafayette Square. I thought Obama might went outside to say hello to everyone! haha~ That's really fun to experience that "position" ! Subsequently, I went to Iwo Jima Memorial. I have seen this statue many times since arriving America. The real size is really huge~ This is the gift from Netherlands to celebrate the peace in World War Two. As a symbol of the carillon to come, the President Trumen said, " So many voice in our troubled world are still unheard. Let it be an incentive for all of us when we hear the bells ring." How encourage when the freedom ring! Arlington National Cemetery is next to the memorial! There are 280,000 gravestones among 624 acre. The President Kennedy was buried here~ This is the Arlington House, which was General Lee's house. During visiting, the rain poured suddenly. Though I could leave with my umbrella, I still waited for the sunshine! Well~the weather in DC would not make me disappointed. Look! The pure rainbow after sunny rain! And the dinner was Obama's burger. It was famous for Obama fond their burgers. Everybody got it together~such a great thing! |
