I really like cheek meat. The texture of cheek meat is very tender and full of collagen. It very satisfying.
I read an article very recently about the high popularity of cheek meat. It also introduced a bit more about it. According to the article, historically cheek meat has been always an "off cut". It means it is supposed to be cheap and of lower quality. Trends come and go! Now everything changed because people think the meat tasted so delicate (soft in texture), moist and rich (in flavour).
Actually the cheek meat they mentioned in the article was from beef. A lot of top restaurants are putting it in their menus. We Taiwanese did it long time ago!
