中興新村虎山步道環型小縱走20231106

1955年開始籌建，1956年臺灣省政府從台北市疏遷至此辦公，1957年整體都市設計參仿英國倫敦「新市鎮」創建模式而設計建造完成，最早佔地約二百公頃，成為辦公與住宅合一之田園式行政社區，社區內植被高度綠化，社區內開先例之雨、污水分流下水道系統，使社區有最好的生活環保標準，社區內巷道採囊底路設計，密度適當易形成敦親睦鄰守望相助的濃厚情誼，突顯強烈的社區意識。20世紀末，台灣省政府功能業務與組織調整（省虛級化）之後，中興新村原有服務省府機關的機能不再，面臨發展定位的轉型。

 省議員黃朝琴：中興新村命名時，我適逢其會，有一次我陪同嚴主席南下視察，回程應邀前往營盤口，參觀省府疏遷廳舍興建工程時，嚴主席命名意見徵詢，我當即建議以命名為「中興新村」如何？旋蒙採用，深感榮幸。—， 朝琴回憶錄之台灣政商耆宿

虎山步道走了幾回沒有好好記錄一下

到中興會堂停好車子

環山路兩旁種植白千層

稱為白千層大道

其間白千層被榕樹包覆

來到倉庫區

右轉虎山步道向上

中興新村有3種主要樹種：由樟樹、菩提樹、白千層。

由環山路倉庫上行，

右切竹林直上頂段竹林

這段路以竹林為主

路基鋪設鵝卵石

路倒的大樹

然後接到虎山步道的產業道路

來到這個轉折點

就是下坡路段

過了雷藏寺岔路下切中坪步道

沿途樹蔭遮日

路面布滿竹葉

看到這個電桿表示快到楓仔坑步道

荒草蔓延

正好提供蝴蝶生長的優質環境

鱗紋眼蛺蝶、眼紋擬蛺蝶

進入楓仔坑步道

居然看到鵝掌藤開花

這次沒有走傳統的虎山步道產業道路

也沒有走九九峰動物園

節省了30分鐘以上

出口在環山路中興高中後圍牆。
