My husband thinks eating hot pot in the restaurant is totally a waste of money. Wow. I despised this thought, but I have changed my mind since I tried to do the homemade one yesterday. The soup base is one hundred percent free of artificial flavors. I only spent about a morning to make Kombu Dashi by Kombu and bonito flakes. The result is so worth it and rewarding. I enjoy every drop of my hot pot broth without worrying some possible chemicals contained. Most important of all, my husband likes it as well.
