At first, I really worry about how many people at UDN are willing to read the All-English Blog.  Looks like it is much better than I expected.  I have strong feelings with Taiwan, and hope we all work together to make Taiwan a better place to live. Just like you said, hope everything and everyone 一切平安喜樂!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks for your feedback to my articles and it is great to have people like you who shares the life style and experiences with.

Though living here is quiet relax but somehow I do miss the soil of "Tradition Chinese" culture once we had in Taiwan.  However, I am happy to find the UDN website and met a lot of quality peopel here.

Wish you have a Very Merry Christmas !

Thanks for stoping by.  Yes, for a man grew up from the country side, everything seems to be so new to me. I am trying to learn and absorb the things I experienced every day.  Writing them down and seeing more and more people come to share is very rewarding. Living in California really expanded my view of seeing things, raising children here is even more rewarding.

I always believe one has to know himself, then his family, then the neighborhood, then the home town, then the bigger regional, the state, the country, then the world.  And there are different aspects about things, the nature, the history, the society, and the philosophy.  It is not necessary that all the things to be explored in that order, but my belief is that we should be most familiar with what are around us, the most meaningful to us, even the intangible feelings.  I am trying to be as candid as possible in all my writing, no need to be hero, no need to pretend I know everything or answer to everything.  Great to see all these quality people here.

there are alot more other talented players that deserve to go to the all-star game...

but, gotta pick someone from georgia though...

NBA becomes better because of the fans like you.
Josh Smith reminded me the young Michael Jordan, just not as good looking, and limited mid-range game.  Being in the Hawks doesn't help much.  Hawks is the teams built with too many SG/SF without the true PG and low post players.  I believed Steve Belkin knew what he was doing, others don't regarding the Boris Diaw deal.  Diaw can be Hawks floor general for ages.  Now, Diaw is pairing with Nash forming the most unselfish dual in league.

kinda sad about webber...

the trade didn't pan out like it was supposed to!

the sixers are coming back,

their roster is filled with young talents!

kyle korver, andre iguodala...

heat kinda remind me of lakers '04...

too many stars, too much egos to balance out...

love watching atlanta's josh smith and san antonio's ginobili!

it's a shame that all atlanta has to offer is a slam dunk champ...

i mean, they've been in the lottery for the last couple of years.

i've seen other teams with lower draft picks doing better than the hawks!

san antonio's ginobili...

love his humbleness!

he even defended his coach when he's dropped from the starting lineup,

on his official site!

a player who shall remAIned unnamed here would definatly be angered by this decision!

Please also check out Warriors.  As far as I have been in Bay Area, they pick ZERO talent from their lottery picks, Foyle, Dunleavy, and Diogu.  Even with Baron in town, the W's is still a 0.500 team.  The should go ahead to trade for Artest.  With Randy Moss, Milton Bradley moving in, we are ready to take Artest...

i was NEVER good with numbers!

barely passed advance algebra in hs...

i wanted to go to culinary arts school,

or major in business management in college...

work part-time in a restaurant to gain experience...

but, as you can see in my recent article,

my parents are very much against my decision!

as a second generation chinese,

they expect better things for me than just working in hopitality business...

Don't know why Chinese despise the service work.  The difference maker between a good culture and the bad one to live in is the amount of people doing service work.  We have to learn to respect people in all kinds of business.  Hope one day they can learn.

Even for me, majority of the time I am working on is making sure my customers are happy. It is still service to some extend.  Chinese people really expect their kids to be better than themselves, but they just don't know.  My parents were so against me to major in PE, because they thought the politics there was bad.  They just don't know the dirty nature in  academic, or in the high tech busiess.  Not to mention the business/financial business. As long as you enjoy it, it is your life.  Going to culinary art school does narrow your choice for the future.  Explore more before you make your decision.
