Gemini:

first, i would like to thank you for your kind words. they are words of warmth and support.

as for my blog, i once considered quitting for some personal reason.  i was thinking about directing my attention to my work and study.  however, it is really difficult for me to stay away from bloging because writing articles is one of the activities i enjoy the most.  also, it is equally difficult for me to detach myself from all those with warm hearts like yours.  at the end, i decide to keep my blog open even though i might need more free to write.

Thanks for stopping by.  Yeah, I was a physicist until I decided to change my life style.  There were different reasons about it but at least I still work in the related area.  Lot of what I learned can still be applied to my daily work.  Currently, I am in San Francisco Bay Area, in California.

Merry Christmas to you, too.

I agree with you completely.  兒歌 and 童詩 provided we really quality time with my mom when I was kid.     They were the only way introduced me the beautiful culture about my root.  I am not sure about your age group, but in the environment I grew up, even some of the 兒歌 were forbidden material at school.

兒歌 and 童詩 are the most beautiful things we can teach 孩子.  This is why I was told to continue reading the books, or singing to our two kids.  My wife and I enjoy doing so even before our kids were born.  We will keep doing it as long as we can.  I found out those books help me to improve my English, actually even more impressive, they improve my science and history background.   Seeing our son and daughter picking up the things from the books gradually is a very rewarding feeling.  We are surprised how much they can absorb.   As I grow up,  I realize even more about how important 精鍊的語言 is to our success.

I would love to introduce my children some traditional
童詩and 兒歌.  I tried different book stores and record stores during my short stays in Taiwan, but I just couldn't find the good ones.  I missed something like 童詩"月光光", or Taiwanese 兒歌 "黑", or Chinese songs that we learned in our music classes at school.  Please suggest if you know any way to get them.

i've been thinking about it...

my parents are actually looking out for me!

they're worried that the hospitality biz. might not work out for me...

because, food is like art,

very subjective!

(beauty is in the eye of the beholder)?

i have other interests though...

HISTORY!

it doesn't matter if it's american, chinese, or european!

so, i might major in something like that...

get a 9 til 5 job,

bake for other people on my spare time,

as an interest...

sometimes, your interest turns into a nightmare when it becomes your job...

so, as you're saying about making it to the MLB,

are you bluffing?

if it's true,

you're gonna be a pioneer for all other asian baseball players!

Hum, regarding th MLB, I believe I has the talent to make it had I continued to play after little league. My dad was a really good baseball instructer, and I believe he trained me well. I am proud of being playing with those guys. My coach in my S. Cal league thought I had good bat speed, excellent base runnig skill, and decent defense on the field. Several of my teammates in the development league made it to AAA.  Even those guys ended up selling cars, doing contractor job. Actually, someone told me one teammate is a chef now.  For me, now I have way passed my prime, with extra 20 pound put on my body, etc.  Also, I has spent my time doing other things that actually prevent me from getting back to the playing shape.  I can only play for the over 35 baseball league in San Francisco now.  Maybe one day, I can convince my wife to send me to the fantasy camp with Oakland A's.  Then I can my dream of playing in the same field with the Major League players.
