We should stimulate Ss’ learning by providing flashcards, realia, sounds, and body movements.

3.        Why teaching aids

l         Create enjoyable atmosphere and suitable learning environment

l         Attract Ss’ attention

l         Maintain Ss’ learning interest

l         Assist the teacher to teach effectively

l         Help the teacher to explain clearly

l         Make teaching become easier and happier

l         Can be used in different stages –warm up, practice, presentation, review, preview, production, games and activities

l         Can be used again and again

4.        Principles of Using teaching aids

l         Teachers can collect, create and share teaching aids with each other

l         Teaching aids should be useful and could be used again and again for different topics or purposes

l         Teachers should use them with flexibility

l         Invite Ss to create and collect teaching aids
