Dear * BR,

Today I shall burn the midnight oil again for the final paper which is due on January eighth. Fifteen minutes later, it will be the seventh day of the new year. Wow, a week ! 1/52 year already!!

You know, everyone has his/her ideal image of the sweet family. What is yours? If the family were a fruit, what kind of fruit the family should be ? Why? I would like to share you with a quote from Letty Cottin Pogrebin, " If the family were a fruit, it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable - each segment distinct. "

As for me, if the family were a fruit, it would be a large watermelon which has a smooth exterior rind (green and yellow) and a juicy, sweet, usually red or yellow interior flesh with lots of seeds of hopes inside.

It is popular with its quantity of water which everyone can’t live without.

The color of interior flesh is as red as everyone’s blood which is the fountain of one’s passion and love.

The color of interior flesh is as yellow as a shinny sunflower with a smile which is the source of one’s energy and braveness.

The numerous and well-protected seeds inside imply that separated individuals (children) with their own promising and hopeful lives—each seed is a hope, each seed carries its mission, each seed takes its responsibility.

As for the smooth exterior rind protect the interior flesh and seeds from getting hurt and provide the interior flesh and seeds a comfortable and safe learning and growing environment.

The sweet flavor means that every industrious devotion will result in a sweet and promising harvest.

You know, I always remember you have told me, " If one day, I am still single and no one takes care of me, you will take good care of me." Thanks for your sweet words which warm my heart.
