自111年1月18日起，父母同為就保被保險人，

可同時請領育嬰留職停薪津貼。

惟請領津貼期間的起日在111年1月18日前者，

基於法律不溯及既往原則，除父母於撫育2名以上未滿3歲子女，

得同時請領不同子女的育嬰留職停薪津貼外，

如係撫育1名未滿3歲的子女者，

仍應於不同時期分別請領育嬰留職停薪津貼，不得同時為之。

If both parents are insured under Employment Insurance, can they apply for parental leave allowances of Employment insurance simultaneously?
With effect from January 18, 2022, both parents can claim parental leave allowance at the same time if they are both insured of employment insurance. However, the effect of the amendment shall not be retroactive. If the "Starting Date" of the period for the parental leave allowance is earlier than January 18, 2022 and the parents are raising only one child below 3 years of age, they shall still claim the benefit in turn and are not allowed to claim simultaneously. For parents raising two or more children below 3 years of age, an exception will be granted and they will be entitled to claim parental leave allowance at the same time and against different children.
